Lance Corporal A Janes

The late Lance Corporal Janes will be greatly missed at Great Kingshill when peace is restored as he was a very useful and popular resident.  He took an interest in everything connected with the welfare of the village, and was an active member of the cricket, football, and rifle clubs.  He joined the Bucks Territorials immediately on the outbreak of war and left England with the lst Battalion.  Everyone in Great Kingshill feels great sympathy with Mr and Mrs A Janes in their sad bereavement.
